President Trump’s campaign team announced Sunday that the president will hold his next “Make America Great Again” campaign rally outdoors in the battleground state of New Hampshire next weekend on Saturday, July 11th at 8 p.m. at the Portsmouth International Airport.
Since the Coronavirus pandemic has swept across the nation in March, Trump has been eager to restart rallies after having to put them on hold. His upcoming rally in New Hampshire will be his second rally-style event to take place after he held an indoor event in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 20th.
Trump’s campaign attendees in Portsmouth put out a statement that “There will be ample access to hand sanitizer and all attendees will be provided a face mask that they are strongly encouraged to wear,” the rally announcement said.
New Hampshire holds a special place in the president’s political history after President Trump won the New Hampshire primary in a landslide, launching him toward the GOP presidential nomination and the White House four years ago. Besides holding the first-in-the-nation presidential primary, New Hampshire for a generation has been a battleground state in the general election.
“We look forward to so many freedom-loving patriots coming to the rally and celebrating America, the greatest country in the history of the world,” said Trump’s National Press Secretary Hogan Gidley.
