BREAKING: Coach Tuberville Defeats Jeff Sessions In Alabama Senate Runoff

Tommy Tuberville has defeated former Attorney General Jeff Sessions in the runoff election in Alabama. Sessions was seeking to return to the Senate after giving up the seat to serve as President Trump’s Attorney General. Sessions drew the ire of President Trump and voters for recusing himself from the Russia Hoax investigation conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Tuberville who is the former head coach and 2x SEC Coach of the Year at College Football powerhouse Auburn will face Democrat Doug Jones in the General Election. Jones won the Senate seat in bright red Alabama by defeating Judge Roy Moore in 2018.

President Trump celebrated Tuberville’s victory after actively campaigning and supporting the former head football coach.

President Trump followed up by taking aim at Doug Jones calling him a “Super Liberal puppet for Schumer and Pelosi.”

The Senate seat in Alabama is the best opportunity for Republicans to win a Democrat controlled seat in 2020 and a victory is a must if Republicans are going to maintain control of the Senate.
