The World War II veteran from Arizona who was distinguished by President Trump at his rally in Phoenix last February has died.
Ervin Julian was put in the spotlight by Trump fans across the nation after the 100-year-old veteran appeared on video being carried to his seat during the rally. President Trump acknowledged Julian during the rally in front of thousands saying, “I want to thank you, really. That’s a great honor and thank you for the great job you’ve done, an American patriot, thank you very much.” Trump also gifted the veteran with a gold coin, pin, and signed campaign hat.
Julian will be buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
