Monday Fox News reported that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the State Department is “looking at” banning TikTok and other Chinese social media apps.
Late last week in addition to escalating military tensions between China and India, the Indian government banned the platform Tik Tok and apps and social media entities that are being run by the Chinese Communist party to spy on users. According to the failing New York Times, following an incident on the border of the two countries late last month, the tensions have continued to rise. “The government in New Delhi announced a ban on 59 Chinese apps late Monday, saying they were secretly transmitting users’ data to servers outside India.” The New York Times went on to report that, “India’s decision strikes at a number of China’s leading technology companies, including Alibaba, Tencent and Baidu.”
For more than a year, the stories of Tik Tok and other Chinese Communist Party (CCP) funded spying operations have been making their way around the internet. One of the most outspoken critics to CCP undercover spying operations is General Robert Spalding. Spalding has served as President Donald Trump’s former Senior Director for Strategic Planning at the National Security Council and is currently as Senior Defense Official & Defense Attache to China in Beijing.
General Spalding has taken many times to twitter and has written extensively to warn of the dangers of Tik Tok and other programs of the Chinese commies.

Ban all Chinese social media. There is no longer an excuse to allow the CCP power over their citizens outside the great firewall.

In response to the concerns and blowback from India, the US, and other countries around the world, Tik Tok and Zoom made a surprising move. The Guardian reported that, “TikTok is to withdraw from Hong Kong app stores and Zoom will stop complying with city authorities’ data requests as technology companies react to the sweeping new national security laws imposed on the city by Beijing.”
As an American the idea of a foreign nation, especially one with an unquenchable thirst for world domination plan that through COVID-19 has instituted is very disturbing. When you have great minds like General Spalding and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon screaming about the dangers of the Chinese Communist Party it’d be wise for the American people to take not. China’s desire is to become THE world superpower and they will do anything to undercut our nation.
